Chronicle

To the Editor:

The August G.P.C. was the worst issue you have published yet. Don't you even think of the impression you are giving straight people of what gay life is like? Can't you understand how offensive your articles and pictures are to some of us? Do we have to have this obscene trash thrown in our faces? The crude language in the article on "safe sex". was inexcusable. If you think you have to describe these things in print, at least you could use décent language. The title of the article by Buck Harris was disgusting, and the photograph was worse. On top of all this, you carried ads for a massage parlor and an escort service! I have read my last G.P.C.

Wants Letters

To the Editor:

am

I am presently incarcerated at the Marion Correctional Institution, and I hoping that I can find someone to correspond with me to help me escape from all this loneliness and pain which surrounds me.

I am hoping one of your readers could find it in their heart to write a lonely person. Your help in this matter would be appreciated.

Criticized For

Non-Support

To the Editor:

It is with great disappointment that I write this letter to share my concern

the lack of support in our gay and lesbian community. Rob Daroff's cartoon published in the September 1985 issue of Gay Peoples Chronicle depicting the Goodtime II sinking neglected to illustrate two facts. First, the Goodtime II cruise of August 11, was cosponsored by Dignity Cleveland and Chevrei Tikva. Second, their combined hard work and dedication netted the gay and lesbian community $1629.90 which was distributed in full to the Health Issues Task Force for direct support to AIDS patients in Cleveland, and the Women's Building Project. If we cannot obtain support from within our own community and publications, then why should we expect this
